TIGER IN THE PLAY PEN
Johnny's Grandparents, not only gave us the most beautiful crib they also gave the baby a big tiger to protect him from any dangers that may find there way into his room at night. He is sleeping in the pack and play that was bought for us to keep in the room during the first few months. Thank you to Jessica, Isaac, Emma, and Joe (Joey's mom and dad and sister and brother in law) for the pack and play temporary crib. Now we just have to hope that the Tiger is willing to share once the baby gets here. He sure looks cozy, and about to snooze for a while, Emma can he share the couch with you for daily naps?

HOW LUCKY WE ARE!
Friday, January 9, 2009
As you can see things are moving along very fast!!!!! Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
